WHAT IS FEATURED ON THE TOURS?

The "INSIDER'S TOUR"  includes visits to TWO private residences that are of an impeccable architectural caliber.  We will also drive through the most beautiful and architecturally significant neighborhoods of Palm Springs.

 

HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION FOR THE TOUR?

Please visit the RESERVATIONS page to make your reservation.  Reservations requests are responded to in in the order that they are received.  Responses to requests will be e-mailed to you.

 

HOW LONG DO THE TOURS LAST?

The tours last approximately 2 hours.

 

WHAT TIMES DO THE TOURS BEGIN?

Tours depart at 10 AM AND 2 PM

 

TRANSPORTATION?

Tour guests either drive in their own cars, or we can arrange for luxury chauffeured vehicles for an additional fee.

 

WHERE DO THE TOURS MEET?

Different tours meet at different locations depending upon the date and type of tour you will be doing.  Once you have been confirmed for a tour, an email will be sent to you detailing the location of the meeting place, instructions for payment and all of that fun stuff.

 

WHO IS THAT ADORABLE DOG THAT I CAN BARELY SEE THROUGH THIS TEXT BOX?

That is our little lab, Samantha.  In addition to running The Modern Tour, Sam is a very powerful and much-respected executive in the entertainment industry.

 

WILL BE BE ABLE TO VISIT THE INTERIOR OF THE KAUFMANN HOUSE, THE ELROD HOUSE OR THE BOB HOPE HOUSE?

No.

 

HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD I PUT IN MY RESERVATION REQUEST?

The tours are EXTREMELY popular, so the earlier that you book, the better your chance of getting onto one of the tours will be.

 

IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED  DURING THE TOUR?

Photography is permitted throughout the tours, both interiors and exteriors.

 

WHAT MAKES YOUR TOURS SPECIAL?

When we started our business, we knew that visiting private residential interiors give our guests a unique perspective on life in Palm Springs.  Our guests are exposed to many of the hidden treasure of Palm Springs that no one else gets to see.    We cannot think of another place in the world where you can routinely visit private homes that are architecturally fabulous on a routine and daily basis. Our main goal on the tours is, quite simply, to make people happy, and it our understanding that we do.
